FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. Chicago, Illinois- September 5, 2009 OnShore Technology Group, leading provider of RightSourcing solutions in Chicago, was featured in a Chicago Sun-Times article entitled "$26 Billion For The Taking". Valarie King-Bailey, CEO of OnShore Technology Group and Lourdes Martin-Rosa of Government Business Solutions were consulted for the article.
As the nation struggles with job creation, King-Bailey discussed how OnShore Technology Group is positioning itself to take advantage of stimulus funding for "shovel-ready" projects. The article discussed the fact that women business enterprises historically have not received their fair share of government contracting dollars. However, through programs such as the Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) "Give Me 5" program, women-owned firms such as OnShore Technology Group now have a fair shot at receiving stimulus-funded projects. Ms. Lourdes Martin-Rosa was designated as a special mentor for King-Bailey through the "Make Mine a Million Dollar Business" program and WIPP.
"Now is the time for woman businesses to move aggressively into the government sector. We are transitioning our engineering and construction business to participate in wind energy and other key initiatives. We believe we can create sustainable jobs which is the bottom line", said King-Bailey.
