The award was presented to Valarie at the annual Diversity MBA Magazine gala held at the Chicago Sheraton Hotel. The award is presented to outstanding minority executives as well as corporations that excel in achieving diversity in their ranks.
In addition to her outstanding corporate achievements, Valarie is a tireless advocate of promoting diversity within the ranks of S.T.E.M. professions. Currently, Valarie serves as a board member of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association and President of the University of Wisconsin College of Engineering Diversity Alumni Association. Through each of these groups, Valarie has helped to promote the engineering and technology profession among youths speaking frequently to grade school, high school, and college level students.
