In 1982, she became the first Afro-American female graduate from the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Valarie quickly rose through the ranks gaining international executive experience and industry recognition with leading organizations such as Abbott Laboratories, Intergraph Corporation, EMC/Documentum and U.S. Steel which led her to the pinnacle of her career as CEO of OnShore Technology Group. OnShore Engineering has the distinction as one of a handful of Afro-American, female-owned engineering companies in the U.S. Valarie holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and an M.B.A. in Information Systems from Keller Graduate School of Management.
